U.S. Manganese Industry Submits Final Report on Wendeng Stock Material Recycling and Advanced Materials Processing Project to U.S. Defense Logistics Agency | Ben Singa

U.S. Manganese successfully completed all identified milestones within the scope of the DLA project within the project schedule

American Manganese Inc. ("AMY" or "Company") (TSX.V: AMY) (OTCQB: AMYZF) (FSE: 2AM) is pleased to submit the final report to the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), marking the completion of Wendeng inventory Recycling and advanced material processing projects. The DLA project is AMY's second project supported by the US government.

The project started with representative samples from Wendeng stock in December 2020 and ended in September 2021 to produce electrolytic manganese (EMM). The purpose of the project is to conduct small-scale tests on unit operations to confirm that the US manganese process is suitable for pyrolusite stock materials, allowing manganese resources to be economically processed into high-purity manganese metal.

(EMM)). The United States is still 100% dependent on foreign EMM. When electrolytic manganese metal is a designated strategic defensive mineral, we cannot continue to rely on foreign supplies at all. Promoting this project is a powerful first step to ensure a sustainable source of supply for the United States."

As stated in the final project report:

"The patented American manganese process provides an important opportunity to produce electrolytic manganese metal, electrolytic manganese dioxide, and potential battery-grade manganese sulfate, using 350,000 short dry tons of defense stock materials located outside Wendeng, with a manganese grade of approximately 22% ,Arizona."

Project highlights include improving the process efficiency of the company's original manganese process and the production of manganese metal without adding toxic selenium. While meeting all project milestones, the results of the scoping study indicate areas that can benefit from additional research to achieve commercial-scale operations near Wendeng Reserve.
